Over 1 million X users wish birthday to incarcerated PTI founder Imran Khan

PTI leaders thanked supporters for their solidarity and reiterated calls for his release.

More than a million users on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) extended birthday wishes to incarcerated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan on Saturday and Sunday, marking a strong show of public support despite his continued detention in multiple cases.

The hashtag #HappyBirthdayImranKhan trended nationwide, with party leaders, supporters, and overseas Pakistanis posting messages, photos, and videos celebrating the former prime minister’s 73rd birthday.

Imran Ahmed Khan Niazi (born 5 October 1952) is a Pakistani politician, philanthropist, and former cricketer who served as the 19th prime minister of Pakistan from August 2018 until April 2022.

Including rights-based organisations, political and non-political leaders extended birthday wishes to Imran Khan on X.

Imran Khan, who remains behind bars in connection with multiple legal cases, has maintained significant public and online backing.

PTI leaders thanked supporters for their solidarity and reiterated calls for Imran Khan’s release.

His son Kasim also expressed his views on the eve of his father’s birthday.
